Is your church interested in a sustainable and relationship-driven partnership that helps a community graduate from extreme poverty?
Jordan Gustafson and Juan Pablo Belmonte, of Food for the Hungry, will join us for lunch on Monday, November 13. Since 2021 the BGAV and Food for the Hungry have connected 13 Virginia Baptist churches with communities in the Nicaraguan regions of Somotillo and Quilali. With the goal of helping communities graduate from extreme poverty, these partnerships are based on developing long term relationships. They include financial support, but most importantly they emphasize the mutual transformation of growing in faith in a resourceful God together. This church-to-community partnership addresses poverty with sustainable methods and healthy relationships.

We are providing the lunch, as well as:
- Updates and input from the churches already engaged
- Education about the fatalistic cycle of extreme poverty
- Opportunities to see the communities first-hand
