Site Visit to Nicaragua

Impact Missions International and partners participating in the Food for the Hungry focus:poverty partnership took a site visit to the Somotillo Region of Nicaragua. This trip was a great step forward in our partnership with Food for the Hungry. June 20^th-23^rd a team of seven from Food for the Hungry, BGAV, Bon Air Baptist Church, Grandin Court Baptist Church, and Sandston Baptist Church traveled with leaders from Food for the Hungry Nicaragua. We visited the partner communities of each of the churches, and met several families of children who are being sponsored by those churches’ members.

The dedication of the well-organized local FH team was inspiring. They consistently go beyond the call of duty because they believe in God’s desire to restore broken relationships and graduate communities out of extreme poverty. Our team left Nicaragua convinced of the effectiveness and reliability of our new partner in Food for the Hungry. We are looking forward to sharing more of the story so that BGAV churches can join the effort and engage in a relationship with a community in Nicaragua!
