Call Out for Buchanan County, VA

Impact Disaster Response (VBDR) is currently responding in Buchanan County, Virginia after flooding struck the community mid-July. We will continue to prioritize and support this community through rebuild efforts over the next several weeks. Grundy Baptist Church has graciously continued to serve as hosts for teams – volunteers are housed and fed at the church. We are presently recruiting teams through November. Register as an individual or a group below.

This fall we will host a regional training event at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Ruckersville on October 21 and 22. We will offer training in the following disciplines:

  • Intro to DR
  • Feeding
  • Cleanup
  • Chainsaw
  • Site Distribution (managing a donation center at your church during a disaster)
  • Leadership

Individuals and church teams are encouraged to register. Cost is $20 and includes a hat, t-shirt, and ID badge. Register for training here.
