Through our partnership with the European Baptist Federation, your strong response is supporting Polish Baptist ministries among refugees from Ukraine. Chelm is a Polish city near the border with Ukraine, and had over 60,000 inhabitants. This number has grown sharply since the war escalated in February. Pastor Henrik Skrzypowski and his wife, Bogumila, live in Chelm and coordinate much of the regional response to the crisis. Most of the churches, and many individual families, have taken in refugees from Ukraine. Pastor Henrik and the team in Chelm also send regular transports of food and supplies across the border to partner churches and communities.
