DESCRIPTION:Impact Disaster Response will be providing meals for campers and local volunteers for Impact Roanoke this summer. This will be a great training exercise to help ensure volunteers and equipment are in good working order before the most active part of hurricane season. SUMMARY:Disaster Response Training in Damascus - July 12 - 8:15-4:00
DESCRIPTION:Impact Disaster Response will be hosting training at One Way Ministries in Damascus\, VA (1004 S Shady Ave\, Damascus\, 24236)\, the site where our recovery teams have been housed since Hurricane Helene Saturday\, July 12. Participants can train in the following areas: \n\nIntroduction to Disaster Response\nMass Care Feeding\nCleanup\nAdministration\n\nWe will have hands-on training in the afternoon session setting up a disaster site\, with administration and feeding site setup at Holston High School. Participants can receive hands-on feeding training all week at Impact Mission Camps at Holston High School. \nThere is no cost to attend and lunch will be provided.
